Allen J. DeWalle
����President
and CEO Allen J. DeWalle oversees all aspects of AAA Mid-Atlantic�s operations,
including its auto club, travel agency and insurance companies. � Currently
headquartered in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , AAA Mid-Atlantic is a not-for-profit
organization serving 3.4 million members throughout Pennsylvania , New
Jersey , Delaware , Maryland , Virginia and the District of Columbia ,
and is the fifth largest AAA-affiliated automobile club in North America
.
Mr. DeWalle�s leadership has been recognized
over the years by his appointment to a number of AAA national committees
including the Association's Business Strategy Committee, Technology Task
Force, Accreditation Commission, Public and Government Relations Committee
and Joint U.S. Canadian Relations Committee. � He also chaired its Travel
Technology Integration Committee, Travel Software Vendor Selection Committee
and Technology Business Practices Committee. �
He currently
chairs the Travel Technology Work Group and serves on the Strategic Business
Committee, Strategic Investment Committee and Budget/Finance Committee.
He also currently serves on the National AAA Board as well as the Boards
of AAA Mid-Atlantic, AAA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Group, the Eastern Auto
Club Association, Eastern Conference of AAA Clubs, Pennsylvania Federation
of AAA Clubs, New Jersey Federation of AAA Clubs, American Tours International
and AAA World. � He chairs both the Pennsylvania Federation and the New
Jersey Federation.
Mr. DeWalle
has been with AAA since January 1964. � During that time he has held various
management positions with AAA Iowa, AAA Nebraska and AAA Virginia. While
President of AAA Virginia, he facilitated the merger with AAA Mid-Atlantic.
� Al joined AAA Mid-Atlantic in July 1993 as Senior Vice President. �
In April 1995, he became Executive Vice President and in April 1997, President
and Chief Operating Officer. In April 2001 he was named Chief Executive
Officer. Since joining AAA Mid-Atlantic, he has played a key role in three
additional mergers, as well as the acquisition of a AAA-affiliate organization,
which have doubled the Club's membership.
